Dr. Rowena Stern, Business Research Support Officer, Marine Biological Association
Rowena joined the MBTC team in June 2020, taking over from Dr. George Graham and is a microbial ecologist within the Continuous Plankton Recorder division of the MBA. She has expertise in plankton and identifying harmful microbes using the latest genetic methods and has used automated sampling platforms to improve the efficiency of plankton monitoring.
She works with Emily Deery to support businesses in a wide variety of ways to obtain environmental data, assist in analysis, and is arranging for new state of the art aquarium tanks to be installed at the MBA to assist businesses in testing their equipment, materials or living systems.
